This was originally the home of our ancestors dating back to 1870, where our family grew up and lived many precious moments. The story of our family, how life used to be in Ayia Varvara the old days, and the renovation work of this house together with the life story, adventures and accomplishments of its last heir, have been the inspiration of the book  “Unforgettable Years” published in 2018 by Kastaniotis Publications.

It was renovated with a lot of attention to detail, with care and respect to its original design and materials and a lot of the authentic furniture and home equipment was restored and now decorate the main house. Later on, the two storey main house was enlarged and enriched, by purchasing 3 neighboring houses and converting them into a garden, a swimming pool, a suite, two autonomous rooms and other facilities, with contemporary furniture, that were initially aimed to host our family reunions.

Our aim is to offer a high quality family retreat to those who are interested in experiencing Cyprus as we locals do, close to nature and to the simplicity of life in the village. For those who want to immerse themselves in local culture and mentality, see the traditional architecture, taste local cuisine, try traditional products and admire the folk arts and crafts.
